Cam scump Broadwell-ul (-e), sunt in situatia in care vreau sa imi fac un pc nou, cred ca o sa ma indrept spre un 1151 (ceva cu M2 +10 GbE)

Low cost my foot. 2160p @ 60hz nu e optional si procesorul si placa video sunt suficient de rapide. E o platforma pe care Intel o face in bataie de joc exclusiv din cauza presiunii ARM care are deja HDMI 2.0 la preturi si mai mici.

@ mbc,
Eu m-am uitat, la supermicro : X11SSZ-TLN4F ( http://www.lambda-tek.fr/Supermicro-...0esxoCV8_w_wcB ) . Dar pentru un SSD 950 PRO M.2 (pana apare SM961) (imi trebuie adaptor pci-e ) care imi mananca din pci-e lane-uriile placii video.
Sper sa gasesc in 2 saptamani 10GbE + M2 , ca nu mai pot sta fara desktop.

Nu vreau sa fiu naspa, dar pe mine nu ma lasa religia sa dau 400 de euro pe o placa verde care arata ca o placa de 200 lei cu chipset Sis din vremea lui Pentium D.
Ca sa reformulez, as vrea sa stiu daca exista o placa 1151, de desktop, respectiv nu chipset de server, de culori normale, sa nu-mi fie rusine cand deschid computerul cu 10 Gb.

Era interesant daca aveau un "succesor" pentru Broadwell cu Iris Pro pe arhitectura Kaby lake. Pana la urma, pentru mainstream tot un 4core CPU. Ce-i drept majoritatea utilizatorilor nu au mevoie de mai mult, chiar si pentru gaming (mai ales pentru o singura placa video).
Macar asa ofereau ceva in plus, un CPU performant su o grafica integrata mai performanta.

Considerand ca arhitectura DX12 pune load-ul in mod diferit pe CPU - eu cred ca anul acesta procesoarele cu multe core-uri vor face diferenta ( A LOT !)
Nu mai stiu unde exact am vazut insa in Ashens of Singularity pe 5960x diferenta era destul de semnificativa intre 8 core / 8 threaduri si 4 core-uri / 4 threaduri (later edit: am gasit -> http://www.pcworld.com/article/30395...12-gaming.html)
