Coil Noise e un țiuit, eu vorbesc de o cârâială care se aude atunci când HDD-urile sunt accesate. Mulți spun că de fapt cârâie HDD-ul, dar nu este așa, zgomotul vine din placa de baza, controller, etc. Evident că și HDD-ul are zgomotul și cârâiala lui, dar sunt chestii diferite.

Caut o placa video de pus în Microserver. vreau sa fac play la filme 4k direct de pe server, pe TV.
E important sa consume foarte puțin
Sugestii?

x265 10 bits decodeaza doar seria nvidia 10x0 din cate stiu eu.

play la 4k HVEC software poti doar cu procesor i7 (sau xeon 4 core / 8 threads). Play hardware poti face (daca ai conectat microserverul la tv) cu procesor intel seria 7 sau placa video din seria 1000, gen 1050. H264 poate fi decodat si cu un GTX660 de exemplu.

Momentan am 3 HDD-uri in Microserver in bay-urile 1, 3 si 4.
Daca adaug un al 4-lea HDD in bay-ul 2 sau in al 5-lea port SATA ventilatoarele stau la ~50%

Any input on that ? Pot sa populez toate porturile, dar sa tin ventilatorul in 10%, cum sta acum ?

Vezi doar cu HDD-ul respectiv. Sunt unele la care nu-i recunoscut OK senzorul din ele și se turează fără rost.

Am uitat sa mentionez ca am testat cu un HDD de laptop.
@gogusrl
Da, e adaugat in array, formatat, dar dupa ce porneste in sistemul de operare (cu ventilatorul pe silent) dupa ~1 minut incepe sa se tureze.
@korby, o sa incerc cu alt HDD sa vedem daca face la fel

Eu pateam cu un anumit SSD sa tureze aiurea ventilatorul. Era ceva Intel 330 sau 320 parca. Acum am un 850 Evo si merge ok.

De-aia zic să încerci doar cu HDD-ul ăsta, fără cele vechi. Dacă se manifestă la fel... e clar.

Am un HP ML10 v2 si un procesor i7 4790k. Daca pun procul in server, merge? Daca pun procul in server si merge, va merge RAM-ul existent ECC? Daca pun procul si merge si pun RAM-ul non-ECC pe care il am pe placa Z97, va functiona?

Cel mai probabil nu merge i7-le pentru ca nu suporta memorii ECC. Nu dai i7- le?

Are cineva Prolian Service Pack - ultimul? Eu il am doar pe cel din decembrie 2016.

Merge i7 cu memorii ECC si cu memorii normale.

Eu am ceva din aprilie 2017, doar l-am descarcat, nu l-am probat.
Esti sigur ca o sa mearga cu memorii normale? Din screen-uri vad ca nu e gen8.
