Default Ramas bun VGA, bun venit DisplayPort...

Salutare!

Look at gtx570 direct cu II.

Wiki rulz.. DisplayPort & HDMI

Another audio/video interface is DisplayPort, version 1.0 of which was approved in May 2006. DisplayPort is supported in several computer monitors and video cards. The DisplayPort website states that DisplayPort is expected to complement HDMI.[156] Most of the DisplayPort supporters are computer companies. DisplayPort uses a self-clocking micro-packet-based protocol that allows for a variable amount of differential lanes as well as flexible allocation of bandwidth between audio and video, and supports encapsulating multichannel compressed audio formats in the audio stream[157][158] DisplayPort ports can be made so that they are compatible with single-link DVI and HDMI.[159] Compatibility is achieved with dual-mode DisplayPort ports, which are marked with the ++DP logo, using attached passive adapters; active adapters allow signal conversion to dual-link DVI and analog VGA.[157][159]

DisplayPort has an advantage over HDMI in that it is royalty-free, while the HDMI royalty is $0.04 USD per device and has an annual fee of $10,000 for high-volume manufacturers.[160] DisplayPort version 1.2 added the ability to transport multiple audio/video streams, doubled the maximum data rate from 10.8 Gbit/s to 21.6 Gbit/s, increased the "AUX" channel bandwidth from 1 Mbit/s to 720 Mbit/s, added support for multiple color spaces including xvYCC, scRGB and Adobe RGB 1998, added global time-code for audio synchronisation and the ability to transfer Ethernet, USB 2.0, DPMS, and other types of data over the "AUX" channel.[157][161][162] HDMI has a few advantages over DisplayPort, such as support for Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) signals, and electrical compatibility with DVI (though practically limited to single-link DVI rates).[162][163][164]

DisplayPort version 1.2 was approved on December 22, 2009. The most significant improvement of the new version is the doubling of the effective bandwidth to 17.28 Gbit/s, which allows increased resolutions, higher refresh rates, and greater color depth. Other improvements include multiple independent video streams (daisy-chain connection with multiple monitors), support for stereoscopic 3D, increased AUX channel bandwidth (from 1 Mbit/s to 720 Mbit/s), support for more color spaces including xvYCC, scRGB and Adobe RGB 1998, and Global Time Code (GTC) for sub 1 s audio/video synchronisation. Also Apple Inc.'s Mini DisplayPort connector, which is much smaller and more appropriate for laptop computers and other small devices, is compatible with the new standard.

DisplayPort has several advantages over VGA, DVI and LVDS.

Open (except HDCP), royalty-free and extensible standard to help broad adoption
Fewer lanes with embedded self-clock, reduced EMI with data scrambling and spread spectrum mode
Based on a micro-packet protocol
Allows easy expansion of the standard with multiple data types
Flexible allocation of available bandwidth between audio and video
Multiple video streams over single physical connection (version 1.2)
Long-distance transmission over alternative physical media such as optical fiber (version 1.1a)
Supports high resolution displays and multiple displays with a single cable
17.28 Gbit/s of effective video bandwidth, enough for supporting 4 simultaneous 1080p60 displays (CEA-861 timings) or 2,560 1,600 30 bit @120 Hz (CVT-R timings)[note 1]
Designed to support internal chip-to-chip communication
Aimed at replacing internal LVDS links to display panels with a unified link interface
Compatible with low-voltage signaling used with sub-nanometer CMOS fabrication
Can drive display panels directly, eliminating scaling and control circuits and allowing for cheaper and slimmer displays
Link training with adjustable amplitude and preemphasis adapts to differing cable lengths and signal quality
Reduced bandwidth transmission for 15 meter cable (at least 1920x1080p60, 24 bpp)
Full bandwidth transmission for 2 meter cable
High-speed auxiliary channel for DDC, EDID, MCCS, DPMS, HDCP, adapter identification etc. traffic
Can be used for transmitting bi-directional USB, touch-panel data, CEC, etc.
Self-latching connector

- Dell 2412M (achizitionat zilele acestea multumiri: Dev,Biker, Matose si restul) conectivitate DP, DVI, VGA;
- Benq G2200W - conectivitate doar VGA;
- Plus Benq G2200W(imprumutat);
