Aici cred că pot eu să ofer o oportunitate. Dar nu e pe digital design ci pe simulare sau verificare. Și nu direct la ei ci colaborare. Vezi pe www.nobugconsulting.ro. Intel's 10nm Is Broken, Delayed Until 2019

Si AMD a declarat deja ca 7nm va aparea la anul in Q1, adica foarte rapid. 7nm. Iar Intel are deja probleme doar cu 10nm. Vin vremuri bune pentru AMD. TARE!

Global foundries =/= AMD
Intel folosește propriile fabrici.
Durează cel puțin 2 ani crearea unui nou procesor (cam 4)
Jim abia acum incepe. Raja a început deja.
Deci vom vedea procesoare noi cel mai optimist pe 10nm++.
Dar nu cred că Jim vine doar pentru a aduce o nouă arhitectură pe 10 sau 7 nm, ci mai degrabă "the next big thing", un cpu pentru noile procese de fabricație pentru a contracara tehnologiile IBM pe care cel mai probabil AMD deja le analizează pentru o eventuală licențiere.

Intel a pornit "masina de marketing". Inovatiile, performantele cu pipeta din ultimii 5 ani si-au spus cuvantul, iar acum hopul de litografiere i-a dat inapoi un pic mai mult decat realizam noi. Au insa manpower si buget suficient cat sa ramana in top.
Z390 pare-se ca suporta CoffeeLake 6cores , dar Z370 din pacate nu va suporta nimic din gama noua. Pe langa asta au aruncat niste slide-uri pentru gama servere

Dupa cum arata diagrama. nu e atat de diferit fata de Z370, poate ca vor sa te oblige sa iei placa de baza cu Z390 ca sa rulezi un 8core viitor. Fragmentarea seriei de CPU.
Pana la urma tot cu DMI 3 se conecteaza chipsetul la CPU, nu e nicio evolutie.

Aceleasi PCiX lanes , absolut totul la fel . Au marketizat pana acum ca va suporta 8core , dar au uitat sa scrie pe plansa. Iar la anul cand vor lansa alta generatie, brusc vor mai aduce niste chipseturi ))

ce nu vad eu in informatiile vehiculate, este daca z390 in afara de seria noua cu 8 core va mai suporta si generatia viitoare.
Daca nu, atunci z390 e fix pentru un singur procesor scos.
