Officially: Pascal is a Tiled Cache Renderer
For a long time it has been the assumption that Nvidia from Maxwell no longer uses a classic Immediate renderer. This renders the triangles ordered by the engine immediately. From Maxwell, however, Nvidia uses a Tiled Cache christened renderer - and from now on this is official. This splits the image into a number of rectangles (Tiles) dependent on the L2 cache size and collects triangles in a memory named Binner. When the memory is full, the collected triangles are sent to render. This saves on computing power as well as on memory bandwidth.

In conjunction with memory compression, the Tiled Cache Renderer on a hypothetical HBM2 card with the GP102 will increase the bandwidth from 500 GB / s to 1200 GB / s. 400 MB should come from the compression and 300 MB from the Tiled Cache Renderer. By the way: AMD's Vega -GPU is also based on a tiled cache renderer, the AMD Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer has baptized.

Se speculeaza ca asta era tehnica secreta care a facut Maxwell mult mai eficienta decat ce avea concurenta; Acum ca s-au prins si cei de la AMD cum sta treaba (..si au inclus in Vega o tehnica asemanatoare) " Tile-based render" a devenit oficial...

Vestea si mai buna e ca celelalte modele vor avea niste scaderi de preturi, un 1700 sub 2000RON suna bine, probabil ca 1600 nu va scadea la pret, intre ele ramane totusi o diferenta cam mare de pret/performanta, mai mergea un 1600Ti ;).

Monstru, presupun ca 1800Ti il ai deja in teste, poti spune cand va aparea review-ul? :)

Nu e niciun zvon. Nu o sa se numeasca GTX 1060Ti, pentru ca n-au facut nimic decat sa le dea OC la memorii. Pentru GTX 1060 de la 8000 MHz la 9000 MHz. Da orice GTX 1060 poate duce 9000 MHz lejer, chiar si mai mult. Si la GTX 1080 de la 10000 MHz la 11000 MHz OC. Se numesc "enhanced GTX 1080 and GTX 1060 GPU variants". Vor veni out of the box cu clock-uri mai mari pe memorii, atata tot.

GTX 1070 este deja sub 2000lei binisor daca stii sa cauti mai exact la 1800lei:

Nvidia n-a mers pe HBM2 din pricina limitari la doar 8GB si performantei mai slabe fata de GDDR5X, spuse domnul din clip.

Mda, in comparatie cu un driver din iulie 2016..

1080Ti, preturi pentru Europa (inclusiv taxe)...819 Euro in Germania (~3700lei), incepand cu data de Vineri 10 Martie (!)

Si 10% e suficient cat sa depaseasca AMD-ul in toate jocurile DX12 (GTX 1060 v RX 480). Insa ei zic de 16% to 33%, destul de mult, pentru un driver. Insa am mai auzit eu de drivere minune la Nvidia si n-au aprut nici pana in ziua de azi. Chiar m-ar mira sa vad asa ceva. :D

Din experientra de pana acum, driverele care promit cresteri de "pana la 16%" nu inseamna niciodata 16% ci inseamna ca intr-un caz foarte specific se obtine o crestere cu 16% a fps-ului. O crestere de 16% per total ar fi enorm (not happening). Nu e o minciuna propriu-zisa, doar un fel de "best case scenario" ; Oricum, sa vedem teste!

Geforce 378.74, eu folosesc 378.77 acum, deci ar trebuie sa am deja performnate mai mari in DX12. Oare...?!? Oricum n-am niciun joc DX12 in PC. :)
